Children in a Grand Cayman pool during Cayman Islands swimming lessons with Thrive Fit

Cayman Islands Swimming Lessons

Private and group swimming lessons in Grand Cayman for babies from six months, children, and adults. We come to your pool — or join Saturday classes at Camana Bay.

Thrive Fit Cayman teaches Cayman Islands swimming lessons at your home, condo, or hotel pool, daily from 6am to 8pm. Families book us for water safety, learn-to-swim, stroke development, and adult beginners who would rather start in a familiar pool than a crowded deck.

Instructors are certified aquatics teachers based in Grand Cayman. Lessons are 30 minutes for most ages. Private lessons are $60 per session; small groups are $30 per person. If you need a public-pool option, our Fall 2026 group term runs Saturdays at Camana Bay Sports Complex.

Who We Teach

Our mobile swim classes in Grand Cayman are designed for every student—whether toddlers taking their first splash, school-age children building confidence, beginners of any age ready to learn essential water safety skills, or competitive swimmers looking to refine their technique and strokes. We meet each child exactly where they are developmentally and adapt every lesson to their unique learning style, pace, and comfort level so progress feels natural and encouraging.

By bringing personalized one-on-one or small-group instruction directly to your home, villa, or preferred pool across Grand Cayman, our mobile swim classes eliminate the hassle of travel while delivering consistent, high-quality teaching. Families throughout the island trust us to create a supportive environment that transforms hesitant beginners into confident, capable swimmers. For those who do not have a pool, we also offer group lessons at our location in Grand Cayman.

Private vs group swimming lessons

Private swimming lessons are one-to-one at your location. They suit infants, toddlers, anxious swimmers, and adults who want undivided attention. Semi-private (two swimmers) works well for siblings.

Group lessons add social motivation and a term structure. Our Saturday programme at Camana Bay Sports Complex is for ages four and older, all levels, with 30-minute classes assigned after registration.

Saturday group classes at Camana Bay Sports Complex are $395 KYD for the 15-week Fall 2026 term, with the option to pay in two instalments of $197.50 KYD. What age can children start swimming lessons?
We teach Cayman Islands swimming lessons from six months through to adults. Baby and parent-and-me sessions focus on water comfort and safety. Toddlers and children build independence, strokes, and pool safety. Nippers at Governors Beach is a separate ocean-safety programme for ages 7–14, not a learn-to-swim class.
Do you come to my pool in Grand Cayman?
Yes. Most lessons are mobile: we come to your home, condo, or hotel pool anywhere in Grand Cayman, including Seven Mile Beach, West Bay, Camana Bay, George Town, and South Sound. If you do not have pool access, Saturday group classes run at Camana Bay Sports Complex.
Do you offer private and group swimming lessons?
Yes. Private lessons are one-to-one at your pool and suit beginners, infants, nervous swimmers, and anyone who wants a custom pace. Group and small-group options suit families and friends, plus the term programme at Camana Bay. Semi-private lessons for two swimmers are available on request.
Can visitors and hotel guests book swimming lessons?
Yes. Visitors staying in Grand Cayman can book private or small-group swimming lessons at a hotel or villa pool, subject to the property allowing an outside instructor. Morning slots are often easier during school term. Call or enquire with your dates and location.
Are your swim instructors certified?
Yes. Lessons are taught by certified aquatics instructors. Ursula Davidson specialises in baby swimming, learn-to-swim, stroke correction, and masters coaching. Danielle Henry is a Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard Instructor. The team holds CPR/AED credentials and has taught in Grand Cayman for many years.
Where are group swim classes held?
Term group classes are at Camana Bay Sports Complex on Saturdays between 1:30pm and 3:00pm (30-minute sessions). After you register we match your child to a time and group by age and level. There is no class on 24 October 2026.
How long is a swimming lesson?
Most private and group lessons are 30 minutes. That length suits young children’s attention and is the standard for our Camana Bay term classes. Longer sessions can be arranged for older children and adults.
