Nippers – Cayman Islands
Confidence. Ocean Safety. Fun. Friends.
Thrive Fit is excited to introduce Surf Sports Nippers—a global inclusive sport designed to help children become safe, confident, and capable in the water.

Nippers is an internationally recognized surf sports and beach safety program for children. Through guided training and play-based learning, children develop:
Most importantly—they learn while having fun.

Nippers is not a "learn to swim" program. We recognise that swimming in the ocean is a new experience for many children and that even competent pool swimmers can find this challenging at first. Our aim is to encourage children and help develop their confidence and skills in the ocean, plus provide surf and inland waterway education.
No prior surf sports experience is needed.

At Thrive Fit, safety and child development come first.
Swimming and water safety
Youth fitness coaching
Child-focused teaching
CPR/AED/First Aid training
We create an inclusive, supportive environment where every child can thrive.
Each Nippers session includes a mix of structured learning and fun beach challenges. A typical Sunday may include:
Children check in, meet instructors, and review sea conditions.
Running drills, coordination activities, and team games.
Wading, swimming, surf entry practice, and water awareness.
Fun races, relays, and skill-building challenges.
Celebrating progress, building friendships, and finishing with smiles.
Every session is designed to be active, safe, and encouraging.

We would love for your child to try Nippers. Your first session is complimentary so families can experience what it's all about.
Making friends • Having fun • Learning life skills
